Is everything you sell authentic?
Yes! Everything we sell is 100% authentic. We verify everything in house and also use an AI software called Entrupy to ensure all of our items are authentic.
Are the employees authenticating products experienced?
Yes, everyone is an experienced buyer and we also use 3rd party authentication services like Entrupy.
What is Entrupy?
Entrupy is a software that uses AI technology to examine designer goods. It is known as the industry standard for secondhand luxury. We use the device provided by Entrupy to take microscopic photos, scan materials, input date codes, and more. Once the process is finalized, a unique certificate of authenticity is produced for the item. Entrupy offers a financial guarantee of any item it authenticates. Learn more at entrupy.com
I'm looking to sell my items. Can I sell to 17th St?
You can definitely sell to us! Stop by our store in Union Square or contact us to inquire about selling your items for cash on the spot. Whether you live near or far, we can certainly purchase your items!
Does 17th St accept trades?
We do accept trades! We will offer you the cash price and the store credit price. The trade value is often slightly more than the cash offer.
How does 17th St estimate the value of my item I am selling?
When buying an item, we look at the current market value of the merchandise. We like to keep our prices as competitive as possible so that you get the best deals. With an ever-changing market, quotes are usually valid for 24 hours.
What types of items does 17th St buy?
We buy designer goods by brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, and more. We also buy and sell a variety of items including but not limited to: watches, jewelry, handbags, wallets, scarves, towels, art, luggage/trunks, shoes/sneakers, and more! Does 17th St offer consignment?
We do not currently offer consignment, but on occasion we will offer some consignment options on high end pieces.
Is there insurance on larger priced packages?
We add free insurance on all packages over $1000!
Timepiece FAQ
Are watches eligible for return?
Watches sold in store are not eligible for return, any mechanical issues are covered with one year warranty. We will buy back the watch at a price to make a profit again.
Do all watches and jewelry have original box and papers?
No, not all of our watches and jewelry come with the original box and papers. Some do but if they don’t we can offer appraisal papers and guarantee authenticity with our 1 year warranty.
Do we service watches in house?
No, we have reputable companies that service and repair watches that are local to NYC.
